Which Is The Best Spa Pool For Me?

20 December, 2021
When deciding on the best spa pool for you, there are a few things you need to consider. At Sapphire Spas there are two main types of spas to choose from which is a spa pool or a swim spa. Spa pools are usually smaller in size and designed purely for relaxation and pleasure, whereas swim spas are longer in size and designed as hybrid swimming pool spas and used for not only pleasure but for exercise as well.
A smaller space can accommodate a spa pool and sauna, but larger areas may need more elaborate spas with built-in seating for an entire family and friends. The size and shape of the spa pool is important when deciding what kind of spa you want. If you already have a swimming pool, then you may be considering adding a spa pool as an addition to your space backyard space. If not, then a swim spa may be what you are looking for. In this blog we will explore the different types of spas available to help you make the right decision in choosing the best spa pool for you.

The Complete Sapphire Spa Pools Range

When it comes to choosing a spa pool, Sapphire Spas have a wide range of sizes, shapes and styles to choose from. It really depends on your purpose for buying a spa, the space you have available and budget you have in mind. While some are designed as two or three people spas for compact spaces and intimate leisure time, others are built with the focus of including the whole family. If budget is not a concern for you, then we have a luxurious range which includes extra bells and whistles such as a built in sound system, LED lighting and advanced temperature controls. For others you may have already considered the swim spa range, which also includes plunge pools or a dual zone spa, which can have two different temperatures in the same spa.

What is a spa pool?

A spa pool, also known as a hot tub or pool spa, is a specially designed structure that holds warm water. A spa pool combines the therapeutic benefits of warm water with powerful jets that provide massaging and soothing effects to the body. Spa pools offer a range of features, such as adjustable jets, seating options, lighting, and temperature control, allowing users to customise their spa pool experience. Whether for relaxation, stress relief, or socialising, spa pools provide a tranquil and luxurious retreat right in the comfort of your backyard.

Let's explore some of the differences between each of the range.

Compact (Spa Pool)

Our COMPACT spa pools are ideal for individuals or couples with little room. The typical house land size has decreased considerably in recent years, and we at Sapphire Spas wanted to ensure that everyone who desired a spa could have one regardless of the space they had to work with.

Family (Spa Pool)

If you have more than two people, the FAMILY spa pool range is the option for you. After your spa is full comfortably, make sure there's enough space for everyone's feet to rest; most Sapphire spas include extra depth or undercut footwells to allow for greater leg and foot room.

Luxurious (Spa Pool)

If you want the ultimate luxury, serenity, and calm in your spa pool design, consider slipping into one of our exquisite LUXURIOUS spa pools. The luxurious spa pool range is ideal after a gym workout or footy match, or a quick triathlon with an ergonomically friendly contoured seating that adapts to your body shape for optimum comfort, as well as a more focused water hydro jet massage to focus on specific regions of the body like the thigh, calves, glutes.

Entertain (Spa Pool)

If you're searching for a bigger spa that can accommodate everyone, a party-sized spa from our ENTERTAIN spas category may be the answer. While these spas don't have as many jets as our luxury spa pool models, they do offer a greater body of water, making them easier to accommodate more people. With some of these spas spanning over 3 meters in length, you'll be able to comfortably seat at least eight people.

Our SWIM SPA range are more like smaller backyard swimming pools. The length of our swim spas range from 4m to 6m, and they're all 2.2m wide with a water capacity of 4000 to 8000 liters. There is no additional cost for any external plumbing required, as the unit is self-contained. Furthermore, our swim spas are transportable, so there is no need for costly and time-consuming excavation.
Dualzone (Swim Spa)
Our DUALZONE 2-in-1 swim spa is a unique mix of our most popular lounging spots at one end and a pool for exercise or fun at the other. The 6m length includes a 4x2m tiny swimming pool with the 2m extension on the other side dedicated entirely to spa seats.
Plunge Pools (Swim Spa)
A PLUNGE POOL is a less-featured pool intended for lounging, wading, playing, and cooling off rather than swimming and exercising. To keep the cost of our PLUNGE POOLS designs low, we've cut the number of jets, pumps, and running equipment to make them more affordable in accordance with the  way they'll be used.

What Budget Should I Allow For?

Spa pools and swim spas can range in price anywhere from $15,000 for your compact spas up to to $60,000 for your swim spas or luxurious range. Bear in mind that once you decide on a spa there will be some delivery and installation costs, and you may also have to consider local council pool and fencing regulations. You can always speak to one of your local Sapphire Spa dealers for more information on some of these local laws and regulations which will obviously vary between different geographical locations. In some cases will need to build a concrete base to support the weight of your new spa. This is something you will have to plan for and perhaps find a local tradesmen who can do the job properly, of course always consulting with your Sapphire Spas experts for specialised advice on some of these things. Additional things that you may want to consider are things like landscaping and other yard and garden decor to make your new spa pool blend with it's surroundings.
